Delete your account.

You can permanently delete your Blocks account at any time. Two ways to do it — from inside the app, or by submitting the form below. Either path deletes the same data.

Delete from inside the app

Open Blocks on your iPhone and follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Profile tab (rightmost in the tab bar).
  2. Tap Edit profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm with Face ID or your account password.

Delete from the web

Fill out the form below. We will verify the request from the email tied to your account, then delete everything within 30 days.

  1. Submit the form with the email on your Blocks account.
  2. Click the confirmation link we send you (within 24 hours).
  3. We process deletion and email you when it's done.

Delete account request

Submit this form to begin deletion. We verify by emailing the address tied to your Blocks account — make sure you can access that inbox.

Request received. Check your inbox for a confirmation link within the next few minutes.

What gets deleted

A precise breakdown so there are no surprises.

Walks & map data
Deleted immediately. All walked street segments, completed blocks, sessions, tier progress, streaks, neighborhood percentages, and your personal heatmap are removed from your account view as soon as the request is confirmed.
Profile & account
Deleted within 7 days. Your display name, username, email, profile photo, bio, home neighborhood, and privacy settings are purged from production databases.
Venue ratings & visits
Deleted within 7 days. Your 1–5 star ratings, notes, visit log, and saved venues are removed. Friends will no longer see your ratings.
Social connections
Deleted within 7 days. Your friend list, follows, tastemaker picks (both directions), blocked-accounts list, comments, and reactions are removed. Anyone who picked you as a tastemaker silently loses the influence.
Encrypted backups
Overwritten within 30 days. Our backup rotation runs every 30 days; any backup containing your data is overwritten on its next cycle.
Diagnostic & usage logs
Already short-lived. Crash reports and usage analytics are not tied to your identity in our analytics tool and auto-delete after 90 days.
Support emails
Retained. If you've emailed support, we keep the thread for two years to satisfy our legal obligations. Tell us in your reason field if you want these purged too.
Aggregated & anonymized data
Retained. Stats like "X% of NYC blocks have been walked at least once" are computed from anonymized data and survive deletion. They can never be linked back to you.
Want a copy first? Before deleting, you can export your walking data from Profile → Settings → Export data in the app. We'll generate a GeoJSON file you can keep, share, or import into another mapping tool.
